Our St Albans Pilates Instructors

Our St Albans Pilates Instructors have a wealth of experience and knowledge teaching Pilates, Barre Pilates in our St Albans venues. We pride ourselves on offering a high quality service with Hertfordshire’s premium Pilates instructors, in St Albans . We have a wealth of pilates experience and breadth of fitness knowledge. We have trained and qualified with STOTT Pilates, Body Control Pilates and Pilates Institute (Michael King). Our backgrounds include  physiotherapy, personal trainers and dancers/teachers. We all have a love of exercise and a passion for pilates so you are in good hands!

Herts Pilates was founded in 2005 in St Albans and has a team of dedicated Pilates instructors. We currently run a number of Pilates and Barre  classes in St Albans, Hertfordshire catering for all different levels. Our aim is to make fitness fun and enjoyable! All of our instructors are extensively qualified and more than happy to help you to achieve your personal goals.

Hi! I’m Claire, I first discovered Pilates 25 years ago whilst studying for my BA Hons degree in English and dance. Since then I’ve trained and qualified as a level 3 pilates instructor with STOTT Pilates as well as matwork with Michael King (MK Pilates). I specialise in hypermobility  post rehab injuries ( referred from eg physiotherapist/osteopath), wellness and pilates for children (qualified Fitness for Children) . I love all forms of movement and dance . I am also a qualified Total Barre instructor which are fun classes to teach with the cheesy tunes and you get a good sweat on!

Hi! I’m Amanda, I qualified in 2005. I then went on to gain Level 3 and  gained  a Studio Certificate with the Pilates Place in all equipment work [ chair, Cadillac, barrel, reformer]in 2012. I have also trained to teach ante/post natal. As well as Pilates I am a dance/ drama teacher, director and choreographer working in theatre and education. I teach improvers, intermediate and advanced classes for Herts Pilates.

Hi! I’m Gabriel, 13 years ago Pilates gave me my life back by enhancing my recovery from partial paralysis. Since then I have gone on to qualify in: Sports Therapy, Personal Training ,  Matwork Pilates and Barre Concept. I specialise in rehabilitation and flexibility. I teach Bootcamp Pilates, beginners and Barre Concept for Herts Pilates.

Hi! I’m Ruth, I have always been interested in the body and how it moves, having studied both Sport and Exercise Science and Bsc Hons Physiotherapy. I qualified as an instructor with the Body Control Association of Pilates. I am a keen runner and have found Pilates has helped me regain more flexibility, prevented injuries and enhanced my running performance. I am a cover Pilates teacher for Herts Pilates.
